Yes, Medical Cannabis is a prescribable medication. The TGA (governing body) allows Doctors to prescribe the medication to patients with specific conditions where they have tried other medications and have not been successful, or the patient has had bad side effects from the medication.
No, it is illegal to grow Medical Cannabis, even if you have a prescription.
The short answer is no, but it's complicated.
While it is not prohibited to drive while taking CBD, it is prohibited to drive while being under the influence of THC.
All current CBD medications also have at least 1% THC. While this isn't enough THC to produce an inhibitory effect on the body, it may still produce a positive roadside test.
There are a number of variables that determine how long you have to wait after taking a cannabinoid medication before you can drive. These include the strength of the THC in the medication you are taking, the dose of the medication, and the form in which you are administering it.
